This programme offered in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield, builds on the basic fashion design curriculum with an emphasis on textile experimentation. Students will learn the latest software and develop their ideas through a wide range of in-house textile machines such as laser cutters, computerised embroidery and state-of-the-art textile printers. While learning the latest applications in innovative textile design, students will also be exposed to the process of creating attractive surface treatments for fabrics.

Students to be admitted to the programme must have a NAFA diploma or its equivalent with a minimum 5 GCE ‘O’ level passes with credit in English and completion or a relevant diploma or its equivalent with relevant professional experience and completion or mature students with industrial experience and/or with completion and a minimum pass of 65 per cent for both research methodologies and final year project conducted by NAFA or satisfactory completion of an interview and/or audition.

The modules include THD1016 Advanced Textiles for Fashion Design, THD1232 Advanced Fashion Design, THD1233 Major Honours Collection, THT1592 Fashion and Textile Research Report.
